Instructions to Install a Scorpio SR-i900 Goldwing

The Scorpio SR-i900 is a motorcycle alarm that fits various bikes, including some Honda Goldwing models. The kit has color-coded wires capped with factory installed connectors that fit onto the motorcycle's existing wiring harness, which allows you to install the alarm yourself; no special tools are needed. The alarm is compatible with the Honda GL 1500 Goldwing models released between 1993 and 2000, and the Honda GL 1800 Goldwing models released between 2001 and 2010. Install the alarm when the motorcycle is powered off. The kit comes with Velcro strips and zip ties for mounting the hardware.

      Mount the main control module (MCM) and RFD underneath the seat or in an area that is void of extreme heat. Use the Velcro strips to mount the components to the motorcycle.

      Connect the antenna to the MCM. Route the antenna to a location so that is as high up on the bike and as far from metal as possible. Secure the antenna to the bike using the provided ties.

      Remove the wiring harness cover from the Goldwing. The wiring harness is either under the seat or in the tail section of the bike. Each model of Goldwing is different, so consult the owner's manual to verify the location of the wiring harness. You may need a screwdriver or adjustable wrench to remove some hardware.

      Connect the main harness wire to the MCM. Connect the two grey wires to the motorcycle's two turn signal (+) connectors . Connect the orange wire to the motorcycle's tail light (+) connector. Connect the black wire to the motorcycle's ground (-) connector.

      Replace the wiring harness cover.
