How to Put the Old Virtual Keyboard on an N900

The Nokia N900 is a smart phone that comes with a front touch-screen LCD that raises up to reveal a horizontal keypad. This is a useful feature for texting, but what you may not know is that it is also possible to enable a "virtual keypad" on the main screen. This is a digital keypad like the ones seen on iPhones. You can enable this feature right from the main menu of the phone.

Instructions

    • 1

Tap the "Settings" icon from the main menu screen of the N900. A list of options will appear on screen.

    • 2

Tap "Text Input." It is the icon represented by a "T."

    • 3

Tap the check box next to "Use Virtual Keyboard" and a check will appear in the box.

    • 4

Tap "Save" and the phone will go back to the main menu where the digital keypad will now be available.
