How to Beat Tastes Likes Chicken in "Dead Rising 2"

Chuck Greene must rescue as many survivors as possible from a zombie-infested casino and mall in "Dead Rising 2." The "Tastes Like Chicken" mission opens during the fourth case of the game. You need to defeat a crazed chef named Antoine to complete the mission. Antoine is holding a survivor prisoner in the pantry and she will not leave unless Antoine is dead. Antoine's weapons of choice include a frying pan and a stack of plates. He is best defeated with a powerful melee weapon.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the Americana Casino located to the left of the Royal Flush Plaza. Take two of the broadswords that are hanging on the wall by the entrance.

    • 2

Head to the food court located to the northeast of the Slot Ranch Casino. Pick up as much food as you can carry and walk into the Cucina Donnaci restaurant to start the fight with Chef Antoine.

    • 3

Run up to Antoine and hit him with the broadsword several times to knock him down. He will hit you with a frying pan and knock you down if you do not hit him fast enough.

    • 4

Run after Antoine when he heads to the dining room. Antoine will try to eat the food on the tables to regenerate his health. Strike him with the broadsword to stop him.

    • 5

Heal yourself by eating the food you picked up earlier if necessary. Eat the pasta sitting on the tables if you run out of food. Wine will also heal you, but drinking too much makes you drunk and uncoordinated.

    • 6

Run up to Antoine as soon as he stops attacking you and hit him a few more times. Use the second broadsword you obtained from the casino if the first broadsword breaks. Continue doing this until Antoine's green health bar is empty.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cindi, the survivor Chef Antoine was holding hostage, won't go with you unless you can find her co-worker, Jasper. Leave the restaurant and climb on the awning across the plaza to find him. Jasper will come with you when you tell him about Cindi.
