Instructions for a Contempra Crepe Machine
The Contempra Crepe Machine, developed in the late 1970s by Thomas Manufacturing Inc., is considered a vintage cooking device. As an electric crepe maker, it was innovative technology at that time. It works nearly the same as newer models, complete with a Teflon surface to prevent sticking. Use it to make crepes, egg roll wrappers and even tortillas. Does this Spark an idea?

Plug in the crepe machine and set it to the desired temperature. There is a thermostat control on this model. A light will turn on to alert you that the machine is ready. To test if the machine is hot enough for your batter, put a small drop of batter on the surface. If it sizzles, it is ready.

Spray the surface lightly with oil if you want added nonstick power.
