Freezer paper stencils can be used to make a cute t-shirt with zebra stripes. Animal prints are always popular in shirt designs, and the zebra is no different. Zebra stripes are simple to make and only require one color of paint. Freezer paper has a waxy coating on one side that makes it possible to attach to a shirt so the stencil doesn't shift while painting. It also keeps the paint from running under the stencil to make unbecoming blotches.
Step 1
Tape the edges of a sheet of freezer paper onto a cutting mat. Pull the paper tight so there are no wrinkles.

Step 2
Cut a zebra stripe stencil into the freezer paper with a sharp craft knife. Zebra stripes are uneven, not straight lines. They zig-zag slightly.
Step 3
Remove the tape and place the freezer paper stencil wax side down on the T-shirt where you want the stripes to be. Iron it on with medium heat.
Step 4
Blot black fabric paint onto the stripes with a foam brush. Fill in the entire stencil and allow the paint to dry completely for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Step 5
Peel off the stencil and set aside. Iron the shirt on medium heat for 1 minute to set the paint.
Tip
Add stripes to colored shirts by first painting a white background on the area to be striped then stenciling the stripes over it. Cardboard can be inserted inside the shirt to give a firm painting survace and keep paint from soaking through.
Warning
Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle to avoid damaging the paint.
