A JELL-O dish with slices of fresh fruit is a delicious and fun twist on traditional JELL-O. While the easiest way to add fruit to JELL-O is to layer it on top, sometimes it can be fun to have the fruit appear to be floating in the center of the JELL-O. You can choose either fruit that matches the JELL-O, such as blueberries in blueberry JELL-O or choose contrasting fruits. For example, slices of peaches in strawberry JELL-O or fresh banana slices in raspberry JELL-O adds variety. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Jell-O
  • Mold
  • Fresh fruit
  • Knife
  • Spoon

      Prepare your JELL-O according to the directions on the box.

      Pour into a mold or clear bowl and refrigerate for about 90 minutes. This first chilling process helps to thicken the JELL-O so the fruit doesn't immediately sink to the bottom of the mold.

      Slice the fruit into small pieces. You can do bite-size pieces of fruit as well.

      Remove the mold from the refrigerator.

      Add the fruit and stir it in to the JELL-O. Once the mixture fully sets, the fruit will appear to be floating in the JELL-O.

      Return to the refrigerator for four hours before serving.
