Instructions
-
-
1
Place the cutter on a flat, stable surface. Make sure all four non-skid feet are touching the work surface.
-
2
Lift the blade handle to the highest upright position until the safety latch at the back of the blade is fully engaged. It is important that the safety latch is engaged to lock the blade into place and prevent accidents.
-
-
3
Rotate the clamp wheel on the right side of the cutter counterclockwise and adjust the paper clamp to the required height.
-
4
Loosen the black locking knob on the left side of the cutter. Align the back gauge with the required cutting setting on the ruler. Press down firmly on the back gauge while tightening the locking knob. This will lock the setting in place.
-
5
Insert a stack of paper through the cut opening. Align the paper's edges flush against the side rail and the back gauge.
-
6
Hold the stack of paper firmly with your left hand and use your right hand to turn the clamp wheel clockwise. Continue turning the wheel until the clamp touches the paper stack. Turn the wheel one-quarter to one-half turn more to properly tighten the clamp. Do not add more pressure than needed as this may cause paper creasing, as well as damage to the clamp and other mechanisms.
-
7
Grasp the blade handle firmly and release the spring-loaded safety arm at the back of the blade. Pull the blade down in a quick and steady motion to cut the stack of paper. The blade will cut cleanly through every sheet.
-
8
Raise the blade handle back to the highest upright position, engaging the safety latch.
-
9
Turn the clamp wheel counterclockwise to raise the paper clamp. Remove the cut paper from the cutter. Repeat this process to cut additional stacks of paper.
