How to Send a Facebook API Notification
Send yourself a text message via Facebook's Application Programming Interface, or API, to verify your developer account and obtain an App ID that allows you to begin building your application. Alternatively, place a valid credit card on file with Facebook to confirm your identify without sending yourself a Facebook API notification via text message. Facebook will not provide you with an App ID if you don't verify your identity.

Sign in to Facebook and choose "Developers" from the bottom of any page, including your news feed and profile. Select "Apps" from the navigation menu at the top of the page that appears.

Click the "Create a New App" button. Input your cellphone number and click "Send" to receive a verification code on your phone. Enter the code when you receive it and click "Verify."

Choose "Add a Credit Card" if you don't have your cellphone handy or you don't wish to verify your identity using your phone. Enter your credit card number, the four-digit security code on the back and the card expiration date, as well as your name and billing address. Click "Save Changes" to save the credit card details to your Facebook account.

Resume creating your application. Once you have the API key or App ID, begin building the application you plan to use with Facebook.
