How to Change the Battery in a TruGlo Sight Light

Save

Sight lights are used in archery to help with aiming your arrow. The sight is mounted on the riser of the bow and a red laser tells you where your projectile is pointed. Eventually, the battery in the sight light will need to be replaced. Swapping out the old battery for the new is a simple process.

Replace the Battery

  • Turn the battery cover counterclockwise to open the battery compartment. Lift out the old burned-out battery and discard according to the battery manufacturer’s instructions. Place the new battery in the compartment with the “+” side facing out. Place the battery cover back on the sight light and turn it to the right, or in a clockwise direction, to secure.

Battery Specifications

  • The TruGlo Sight Light uses a 3-volt lithium battery. Replacement batteries can be obtained at most drugstores, sporting goods stores or general retailers that carry batteries. Remove the batteries from the sight light when it is not in use; this may help extend the life of your batteries.
