How to Shape Mini Hamburgers
Mini hamburgers, or sliders, are small-sized sandwiches perfect for serving at parties and fun, family meals. The first mini hamburgers sold nationwide were by the hamburger chain, White Castle. Today, home cooks can make their own sliders using their favorite fresh ingredients. Get your authentic slider a tasty look by giving them the right size and shape. Scoop up 2 to 3 tablespoons of seasoned meat and place it in the palm of your hand.

Shape the mini burger in the palm of your hand, rolling it first in a ball. Continue to roll the ball until there are no cracks or seams in the meat.

Press down the center of the burger using your opposite palm. Push down gently to avoid breaking the burger. Press the burger down to 1/2-inch thickness. If you like a meatier burger, leave the thickness at 1 inch.

Arrange the patty on a platter and continue to make your sliders.

Tips & Warnings
If making burgers ahead of time, place the burgers on a wax paper-lined platter and refrigerate.
