Google Voice is a phone number forwarding system that allows calls to one phone number to ring multiple devices. Google has set the Voice ring time to be 25 seconds, after which time the call will be routed to Google's voicemail service. The time from the initiation of the call to the transfer to voicemail cannot be changed -- but the additional feature can be adjusted so that more of the 25 seconds is spent with the call ringing.
Log in to your Google Voice account at Voice.Google.com. Click on the gear in the upper right corner of the window, then click "Voice Settings."
Click on the "Calls" tab. Click "Off" under the "Call Screening" section.
Click "Save Changes" down at the bottom of the window. This will increase the amount of time that callers spend hearing the phone ring instead of interacting with the Google voicemail system.
