How to Attach the Neck to a Dragon 1/6 Figure

Making a model dragon allows you to create intricate fantastical worlds.

Creating your own model figures and creations gives you the freedom to leave behind the ordinary world and enter magical worlds of your own creation. If, for example, you're making an imaginary world where dragons live, you'll need to assemble the dragons perfectly to do justice to the shapes and structures of these fabulous beasts. Working with a 1/6 dragon figure refers to a 1/6 scale.

Things You'll Need

• Acetone-based model glue

Instructions

1. Place the neck on the dragon's body and check the alignment. Assess where you want it exactly and how you want it positioned. Make sure the neck is not crooked.

2. Remove the neck and squeeze out a dime-sized amount of acetone-based model glue in a thick variety onto the place on the body where you want the neck to attach.

3. Press the neck against this dime-sized portion of glue. Adjust the neck so that it is perfectly straight. You must do this quickly as the glue dries extremely fast.

4. Hold the neck firmly in place, exerting steady pressure against the body of the dragon. Remove your hand after a minute. The neck will be attached securely.

Tips & Warnings

• While acetone-based model glue generally comes in several varieties such as thin and medium, you want to use the thick type to ensure the neck remains supported.
