Teddy bears make great companions for a bear-themed gift basket.

A bear basket is a gift basket with a bear theme. These gift baskets are appropriate for any age group, including babies, children and adults. You can even give a bear-themed basket to a pet if you include pet-friendly products. Make sure to include a variety of objects to make the gift even more special.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine the items that you want to include in the basket. Gift baskets fill up surprisingly quickly, and it is important to make sure you have enough room for the important things. Plan to add one large item, two or three medium items and several small items. What you add will depend on the recipient. For a baby-themed basket, add bear themed rattles, blankets, clothing and toys. For a child's basket, add a teddy bear, bear-themed coloring activities, small plastic bears and bear ears for the child to wear on her head. For an adult-themed basket, use items such as a bear key chain, bear calendar, a book about bears or bear slippers.

Line the bottom of the basket with the stuffing. This will help keep the items in the basket at eye level. Add a layer of tissue paper or some other prettier stuffing above the plain stuffing.

    • 3

Add the largest bear item first. Arrange the smaller items around the large bear item.

    • 4

Fill in any gaps with smaller items, such as candy or other treats. You can also fill in gaps with more tissue paper or stuffing.

    • 5

Wrap the entire basket in cellophane and tie with a large bow. Tie a small bear toy to the center of the bow.
