Adding a customized FBML box to your Facebook page is a way to advertise your business.

FBML, or Facebook Markup Language, is Facebook's equivalent of the HyperText Markup Language (HTML) web programming language. By enabling the FBML application on Facebook, you can use it to customize your Facebook fan page with a FBML box. You can use HTML in the FBML editor to create a sort of custom webpage inside the Facebook interface. This adds interest to your Facebook page, or can be be used to present information or advertise your business.

      Open your web browser and log in to your Facebook account. Use the Facebook search bar to search for "Static FBML." Select the "Applications" tab on the left to display the Applications results. Click on the "Static FBML" application.

      Click on "Add to My Page" underneath the Static FBML logo on the left side.

      Go to your Facebook fan page. Click on the "+" sign in the navigation bar. Click on "FBML" to add an FBML tab on your fan page.

      Click on "Edit This Page" under your Page logo in the top left corner of your fan page. Under the FBML section click "Edit."

      Enter a title for the FBML box in the "Box Title" text field. in the "FBML" text field enter the HTML code to display in the FBML box. Click "Save Changes" to save the box and publish the updates to your page.
