How to Fix a Cracked Jacuzzi
Jacuzzis are made of a hard cast acrylic material reinforced with fiberglass that rarely cracks. But if a heavy object falls on the shell of the jacuzzi it will break and crack. Failure to repair the crack immediately can lead to the crack expanding. While the repaired crack will never have a seamless look again it can be repaired. When you use the right materials and directions you can ensure your jacuzzi will be completely waterproof and safe to use again. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Empty out the jacuzzi and clean the crack. Use the sandpaper to lightly sand the area around and over the crack. This removes any oils and residue that would prevent the epoxy from sealing the crack.
-
2
Mix the acrylic shell repair kit according to the directions included with the packaging. Most kits consist of an epoxy and a hardener that must be mixed together for the compound to be activated.
-
-
3
Apply a thick bead of the mixed epoxy onto the crack on the jacuzzi. Use the included mixing stick to apply the epoxy over the crack. Let the epoxy dry for at least 24 hours.
-
4
Lightly sand the epoxy to smooth it out and make it even.
-
5
Paint the dried epoxy with the acrylic artist paint and paint brush. Buy a paint color that is the closest possible to the original jacuzzi color to blend the repair as much as possible.
