How to Design a Book Layout in Indesign
Adobe InDesign is a digital publishing application where you can set layouts for text, graphic, and other objects. After you set the paper size and made the layouts, you can export the document to PDF format for printing. Create a book layout if you plan on printing a book format or if you want to have pairs of pages facing each other. Book layouts also help you work with multiple pages on a single screen.

Launch Adobe InDesign from the Start menu. Click the "File" menu, go to "New" and click "Document ... " to start with the first page of your book.

Set the number of pages to three or more so you can see the book layout, including the front page. Check the "Facing Pages" check box to enforce the book layout look.

Set the other document settings if you need to such as the "Page Size" and click the "OK" button to create a book layout that you can work with.
