How Do I Get a Picture From My Computer to Be My Badge on Facebook?

Your profile picture is in the upper left corner of your profile.

Your profile picture on Facebook works as a badge, representing you to the rest of your Facebook community. Your profile picture can be any picture you want - it doesn't even have to be a picture of you. To assign a picture to be your profile picture, it must first be uploaded to your photos on Facebook. A popular way to do that is to start with a picture already on your computer.

Instructions

1. Log into your Facebook account. You'll be redirected to your home page.

2. Click "Profile" in the top-right corner of the screen.

3. Click "Photos" in the left column, under your current profile picture.

4. Click "Upload Photos" on the top-right corner of your screen.

5. Click "Select Photos."

6. Select the photo you would like to use as your profile picture. Double-click the photo to begin the upload.

7. Find the photo in your Facebook photos once the upload is complete and click the photo to open it.

8. Click "Make Profile Picture" under the photo.
