How Can I Hook My Printer to My Rg54GS2 MSI Wireless Router?

Many modern printers come with the ability to be hooked up wirelessly to a wireless router. If you own a wireless printer and a MSI Rg54GS2 wireless router, you may be looking to hook the two together. Hooking your wireless printer to the MSI Rg54GS2 router merely requires having the correct information for your router and running the installer for your printer.

Instructions

1. Go to 192.168.0.1 in your browser to access the Admin panel for your MSI Rg54GS2 router. Type in the username and password for the router. If you do not know the username and password, consult your router's manual.

2. Click "Wireless," and then click "Security." Write down the network name and password for your wireless network as you will need it to hook your printer to the wireless router.

3. Insert the software CD for your wireless capable printer. Click "Run" to run the installation wizard.

4. Click "Install Network/Wireless Device" on the installation wizard dialog box.

5. Click "Next" to begin installing the printer.

6. Connect your printer to the computer via USB cable when asked to by the installer. This is only temporary so that the installation program can configure the printer for you.

7. Type in the network name and password acquired in Step 2. Click "Next."

8. Unplug the cable when prompted to by the installer. Click "Finish" to complete the process of hooking your printer to your MSI Rg54GS2 Wireless Router.
