How to Use Flaxmeal in Recipes
A good source of essential nutrients and fiber, flax meal can be easily incorporated into your daily diet. You can find pre-ground flax meal in many grocery stores, but it is easy to grind your own using a coffee grinder. Flax meal has a light, nutty flavor, which makes it a great addition to many recipes, and it is a simple way to add nutrients to your diet. The possibilities for its use may be endless. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. flax meal over 1 serving of cereal, granola or oatmeal for breakfast. For hot cereal, such as oatmeal, add the flax meal after it finishes cooking.

Flax meal can be added to any muffin batter. Add only 1 tbsp. flax meal per muffin to the batter. Mix well to distribute it evenly.

Add 1 tbsp. flax meal per serving to soups and stews. The flax meal can be stirred in while the soup or stew is simmering or sprinkled over the top of individual servings.

Tips & Warnings
Store leftover flax meal in the refrigerator to avoid spoilage.
The high fiber content in flax meal may cause nausea or diarrhea if used in large quantities. Use flax meal sparingly until you know how it will affect your body.
