Instructions

1
Wet the car using your pressurized hose or nozzle. Before the new coat of polish can be applied, the old wax or polish must be completely stripped.
-
2
Apply the liquid dish detergent to the car using a soap sponge and water bucket. Zaino recommends that you use Dawn Ultra liquid detergent. If using another brand, check the ingredients to make sure they are similar or contact Zaino customer service at 1-888-999-9870 to determine if the brand you wish to use will properly strip the previous coat of wax.
-
-
3
Rinse the car thoroughly. In order for the product to work, all dish detergent must be completely removed. Continue rinsing using your pressurized hose and nozzle until there is no longer soap running off the car.
-
4
Dry the entire surface of the car where the polish will be placed with car towels.
-
5
Check the paint surfaces for rough areas. These areas need to be smoothed with a Zaino Z-18 clay bar. Simply moisten the base of the bar with water and rub over the surface that is not smooth or still contains residue. Rinse with water and dry with car towels until the surface is clean.
-
6
Inspect the car for hazy or cloudy areas in the paint. For example, if it rained on the car and then it subsequently sat out in the sun, you may get hazy areas or water spots on your car. These can be removed with a product called Z-PC Fusion. Place a small amount of the product on the spot and then buff out using an orbital buffer and a polishing pad. Buff for a few seconds at a time until the spot is completely removed.

Select the correct Zaino polish product for your car. Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish is recommended for paint with a clear coat finish. This is for most modern cars. Z-3 Show Car Polish is recommended for paint without a clear coat. Vintage cars and cars that receive special aftermarket paint may not have a clear coat. Finally, Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish is similar to the Z-2 product, however, it helps hide swirls and small scratches for dark-colored vehicles.

8
Spray Z-6 Enhancer on your Zaino Polish Applicator.
-
9
Add a small amount of polish to the applicator and apply to the vehicle. Zaino recommends up and down strokes for vertical surfaces. Horizontal strokes should be used for horizontal surfaces.
-
10
Wait for the polish to bond to the vehicle. It takes at least 15 minutes for the polish to set. You will notice a light powdery finish emerge. In low temperature or high humidity conditions, it can take upwards of 3 hours for the polish to dry and adhere to the vehicle. To test if it is done, simply swipe your finger on a small portion of the surface and the powdery surface will come off.
-
11
Remove the powdery polish over the surface of the entire car with clean car towel until the clear coat below is visible.
-
12
Spray with Z-6 Gloss Enhancer and buff dry with another clean car cloth. This step is optional as you may find the polish job satisfactory.
