How to Replace Pearl Fronts on Snap Buttons
Many types of clothing have snap fronts with pearlized tops. Unfortunately, washing machines, wear and weather will cause your pearl snaps to ruin. If you do not want to replace the garment itself, replace the pearl front snaps. Replacing button snaps does take time and patience, but it is worth it. Insert the flat-head screwdriver underneath one of the pearl button fronts. Gently pry up the button until the underneath snap is exposed. Remove the button top and discard.

Insert the snap button into the pliers, according to instructions on the plier's package. Snap buttons generally have teeth or a groove on the underside. Slide the pliers into the groove of the snap button.

Place the pliers over the location where the pearl snap was removed. Squeeze the pliers until the button snaps into place.

Insert the metal prong ring onto the grooves of the snap button. Squeeze the pliers onto the button one last time to ensure that the snap button is secure.
