How to Take a Noob's Town in "Evony"
In the online game Evony, one of the goals is to colonize other towns by invading them and taking over. One of the easiest targets for this is "noobs," the term given to brand new players. They generally have not had the time to build up their defenses and will be vulnerable, making it easier to take over their town and get more resources. If you do decide to take over a noob's town, you will need some prior proper planning first.

1
Find a noob who has just gotten out of their seven days of protection. Each new player cannot be attacked during their first seven days, but can be attacked on the eighth day and beyond. The less time they have been out of protection, the less time they have had to build up defenses against an attack.

2
Check the noob's World Chat conversations to see if you can find their playing time. Playing time is the normal time of day/night that they play. If you attack while they are away, they are more vulnerable. Check for them saying things like "goodbye" or "good night" in the chat, this is the end of their playing time each day and you should attack anytime after that.

3
Send a scout to the noob's valleys. If you get attacked, then the noob is online and playing. If you don't get attacked, they are away from the game. Now is the time to attack the town.
-
4
Declare war on your chosen noob. There is a 30 minute waiting period after you declare war before you are allowed to attack.
-
5
Click on the town and select "colonize" to start the attack after the 30 minute waiting period is over. The attack must last at least eight hours, which is called the suppression time. Wait through this suppression time.
-
6
Continue to send troops to the noob's city during the suppression time. If you don't, you risk losing the battle.
-
7
Collect your gold and resources from the city after the suppression time, if you win. The city is now one of your vassals and under your control.

Tips & Warnings
Even after you take control if a noob's town, they can rise up against you to try and take their town back. Be aware if they are trying to regain forces and stockpile resources, as this could be the sign of an impending attack.
