How to Eat a Young Coconut
Young coconuts are sweeter and fresher than older ones. That is part of the appeal. Young coconuts have a green shell, in contrast to the brown shell of mature coconuts. You often see them in tourist spots with liquor added and a straw coming out of the top. The texture of the flesh is softer and more pliable in young coconuts in comparison to older coconuts. Inside of the young coconut is a pleasant juice and sweet flesh. Once you have consumed the fruity, fresh beverage inside, scoop out and eat the young coconut meat. The actual coconut meat is less flavorful and strong in comparison to older coconuts. Eat young coconuts just with a spoon or even in a delicious smoothie. Does this Spark an idea?
