Assembly Directions for a Madeline Doll House

The Madeline dollhouse was a dollhouse made during the 1990s as a companion playhouse for an 8-inch Madeline doll. The house was made of sturdy cardboard, and included details such as a working doorbell and lantern, doors that opened and closed, and windows that came complete with curtains. The furniture was sold separately. Now, it is possible to find the dollhouse online at auction sites, but the instructions are often missing. It is possible to put the house together without instructions if you follow the correct construction sequence.

Fold the wall pieces along the notched edges to form walls. Slide the walls into the notches on the base floor.

    • 3

Place the second floor on top of the first story walls. Place the second flooring pieces on top of the base floor. Slide the walls into place on the second story, just as you did for the first story.

    • 4

Place the roofing pieces on top of the second story. Push the gables and chimneys into the slots on the dollhouse roof.

    • 5

Sandwich the matching window frames between the window openings. Press the frames together until they click in place.

Add the other accessories to the house, such as the lanterns, curtains, roof fence and window boxes. There is a place for the lanterns on the right side of the bottom story.
