How to Use the Magic Box on Second Life
"Second Life" is vast 3D virtual world that players can explore for fun and profit. Players can sell virtual goods using an in-world object called a Magic Box. The Xstreet SL Magic Box allows players to store virtual objects so they can be bought and sold in "Second Life." To use the Magic Box, players must have a parcel of land to place it on because it must be stored in a permanent location.

Go to the Second Life Marketplace (see Resources). Under "Categories," click on "Xstreet SL." You will see a picture of the box on the next screen. Click on the picture or on the link under it. The Magic Box is free. Click the "Add to Cart" button. Click on your shopping cart at the top of the page. Click "Checkout" to have the Magic Box delivered to "Second Life."

Open "Second Life." A panel will open informing you that the Xstreet SL Magic Box has been delivered to "Second Life." You will have the option to keep or discard the object. Select "Keep" to add the Magic Box to your inventory. Check your inventory to make sure it is there.

Go to the location in "Second Life" where you want place the Magic Box. Open your inventory, then open the folder where the Magic Box is stored. Click on the box and drag it to the spot where you want to put it, then release the mouse button to place the box.

Go into your inventory and open the folder where you store the objects you want to sell in your Magic Box. Click and drag the objects into the box. (Use the "Ctrl" button to drag multiple objects.)

Return to the Second Life Marketplace website. Select "My Marketplace > Merchant home" in the upper right. Click "Manage Inventory" in the upper left corner. Click the "Sync Marketplace with Magic Boxes" button. Click "Create" on the right of the listing and complete the required fields to update item listings in the marketplace.

If you are using a Magic Box prior to version 3.0.11, you should update it to ensure the reliability of deliveries.
