How to Get Rid of a Second Google Map Listing

Contact Google to remove duplicate listings for your business.

The listings for your business that appear in Google's search results or on a Google map can be created and edited through Google Places. Google Places allows customers to find your business online, leave comments and rate your business. You can remove any duplicate Google Maps listings for your business by reporting the duplicate Google Places listing directly to Google using a link at the bottom of your duplicate Google Places page.

Instructions

1. Open your favorite browser and visit the duplicate Google Places page for your business.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the Google Places page for your business and click on the "Report a problem" link.

3. Select the "Place has another listing" option. Enter the link for your other Google Places page in the comments section.

4. Click on the "Report problem" button to report the issue to Google and submit the duplicate listing for removal.
