How to Install a Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 to MSN Instant Messenger

Visit Microsoft's hardware website to download the software for the LifeCam. Click the "Software for Microsoft internet communications (webcam and headset products)" button. Select "Webcam," then "LifeCam VX-1000," then select your operating system and then select your operating system language. Click "Go." Select the "Download" button next to the newest version of the LifeCam software.

Double-click the LifeCam software installation file to launch the install wizard. Click "Next," and then choose "I agree to the terms and conditions." Select "Next" again to begin installing the software.

Choose "Start," then "All Programs," and then click "MSN Instant Messenger."

Type in your MSN or Windows Live Messenger username and password. Click "Sign In."
