How to Make a Crayon Tower
Kids often enjoy coloring with wax crayons onto paper, but you can also use wax crayons as a building material to construct a whimsical crayon tower. Make a colorful crayon tower using materials that can be purchased from any arts and crafts supply store. Once finished, a crayon tower can be used as a creative display in a classroom or in a toy shop to entice people to buy a pack of wax crayons.

1
Cut a piece of cardboard to measure 12 inches wide and 12 inches long using scissors.
-
2
Paint one side of the cardboard square using acrylic paint, then let the paint dry for 20 minutes. Select any vibrant shade of paint you prefer.
-
-
3
Place the cardboard square onto a table top, and squeeze a 4-inch square of tacky glue in the center of the cardboard.
-
4
Lay a wax crayon along each side of the tacky glue square. Allow the glue to dry for 20 minutes.
-
5
Squeeze a short line of tacky glue across all four corners of the wax crayon square. Lay a crayon diagonally across each corner, which will create a second crayon square caddy-corner to the first. Allow the tacky glue to dry for 20 minutes.

6
Squeeze another short line of tacky glue across all four corners of the second crayon square. Lay a crayon diagonally across each corner, as before, to create a third crayon square caddy-corner to the second. Allow the tacky glue to dry for 20 minutes.

Repeat this process until the crayon tower is as tall as you prefer.
