How to Make Corsage Images
Often adorning the wrists or collars of promgoers, brides and mothers-of-the-bride, corsages are a fragrant and floral way to add decoration to an event. Corsages are ideal for graphic design as well, suitable for images on websites, note cards, brochures and avatars. Make your own corsage images by taking advantage of what several design programs can do with a simple corsage photograph. Transform a photo into a corsage image to your exact dimension requirements.

Open Publisher and click the "More Blank Page Sizes" button. Click the "Create new page size" button under "Custom." Type into the "Width" and "Height" boxes for the corsage picture size. Pull down the "Layout type" menu and click "One page per sheet." Click the "OK" button.
-
2
Click the "Page Design" tab. Click the small arrow under the "Background" button on the ribbon. Click "More Backgrounds."
-
-
3
Click the "Picture" tab. Click "Select Picture." Browse to and double-click the corsage image.
-
4
Click the "OK" button to close the "Fill Effects" window and add the corsage image to the picture canvas. Click the "File" tab and select "Save As." Type a name for the picture file. Pull down the "Save as type" menu and click JPG, GIF or your preferred image file type.
In Paint
-
5
Open Paint and click the "Paint" button.
-
6
Click "Open" and navigate to the corsage picture. Double-click the file name and it appears on the Paint workspace.
-
7
Click a small colored square in the "Colors" section of the ribbon. Click the "A" icon in the "Tools" section and click the picture. Type a short message, such as "Will you go to the prom with me?" and align it with the bottom of the corsage picture. This step is optional.
-
8
Click the "Paint" button and select "Save As." Enter a new name for the image to protect the original and click the "Save" button.
In Photoshop
-
9
Open Photoshop, click "File" and click "Open." Browse to the corsage photo and double-click it, opening it on the Photoshop canvas.
-
10
Click the "Crop" tool on the "Tools" pane -- the tool is the fourth from the top. Draw an outline around just the part of the corsage image to keep, such as leaving out part of a person's arm or background. When the rest of the image goes dark, press the "Enter" key to commit the crop.
-
11
Resize the image to fit your picture requirements by clicking the "Image" menu. Click "Image Size." If the "Constrain Proportions" box at the bottom is not checked, check it. Type a new smaller size -- typing a larger size will cause the corsage image to look pixilated -- into either the "Width" or "Height" boxes. The other box will auto-adjust. Click "OK" and Photoshop changes the size.
-
12
Click the "Image" menu and select "Adjustments." Click "Vibrance" from the fly-out menu. Slide the "Vibrance" bar to the right to increase the color in the corsage picture. Click "OK" when satisfied.
