How to Diagnose a Dell E1705 Keyboard

The Dell Inspiron E1705 has an internal hardware troubleshooter called Dell Diagnostics. If you are having trouble with the notebook's internal keyboard, running Dell Diagnostics is the best option to diagnose the problem. If the keyboard fails the Dell Diagnostics test, the program will display an error code and provide a solution to resolve the issue. If the keyboard passes the diagnostics test, check the keyboard itself for dirt or liquid, which can affect the performance of the device.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the above steps don't resolve the problem, run an anti-virus on the computer to check for infections, which can also affect keyboard behavior.
