How to Make Your Own Clan in "AssaultCube"
In the free online first-person shooter "AssaultCube," you can create and join clans to enhance your gaming experience. Members of a clan work together on a common in-game goal. Some clans work to dominate public servers, and others play against each other on private servers. There is no official submission process to start your own clan; you simply add a clan title to your in-game name, find players to join your clan and post your clan to the "AssaultCube" wiki (many short-lived clans skip this last step).

1
Choose a name for your clan. Type "/name =C=N" into the chat with the variable C being your clan name (or abbreviation) and the variable N being your name. For example, if you want your clan to be called DEATH and your in-game name to be Johny, then you would type "/name =DEATH=Johny". Clans will generally separate their clan name from player names with "=", "|" or "\".

2
Find people to join your clan. Ideally, you will already have friends who want to start a clan. Otherwise, a great place to find new clan members is the in-game chat. Try typing "Clan DEATH is currently taking new members" into the in game chat. When players respond, they can join your clan by adding your clan name to their in-game name. Long-established clans will often have an initiation or audition process for new clan members.

3
Play with your clan members before submitting your clan to the "AssaultCube" wiki or creating a clan web page. It is a good idea to have a core group of players and an established clan reputation before becoming "official."
-
4
Create an account for the "AssaultCube" wiki, and edit the Wikipedia Clans page (see Resources) to include your clan name. To do this, simply select "Edit Page," and type your clan's name where it belongs alphabetically on the page. If marked correctly, this will create a link off of your clan name to a non-existent clan page.

5
Save changes to the wiki, then visit the page and click your clan's name. This will prompt you to make your own clan page on the wiki.

Tips & Warnings
You should strongly consider joining a clan before starting your own.
When choosing a clan name, make sure that its abbreviations are not the same as another clan, or you will be blacklisted by that clan.
It is suggested that you play with your clan for at least a week before making an official entry on it.
