How to Keep an Adium Message Window Visible
Developed by the Adium team and originally released in 2001, Adium incorporates multiple instant messaging networks into a single chat client on computers running the Mac operating system. Although the application does not include an option for keeping specific chat windows visible, the client does feature an option for keeping all of your chat windows visible while using other applications. The options menu also includes settings for hiding Adium while it is in the background.

Click "Finder" in the dock, click "Applications" in the left sidebar and double-click "Adium" in the Applications folder.

Click "Adium" in the menu bar and select "Preferences."

Click "Advanced" and select "Messages" in the left sidebar.

Click the drop-down window adjacent to "Order Message Windows" and select "Above Other Windows." Close the Preferences window.
