How to Cache a Website on Google

Google automatically keeps a copy of every Web page that it crawls, known as the cached version of the page. When you search for something on Google, the search engine reviews the cached copy of the page to determine if the Web page is relevant to your search query. If the website you want to visit is down, you can view Google's cached version.

Instructions

    • 1

      Go to google.com.

    • 2

Enter a search query and press "Enter." If you are looking for the cached version of a particular page, try entering the URL of that page.

    • 3

      Click "Cached."

Tips & Warnings

  • Google caches pages automatically. You cannot request that Google cache a particular page or save a particular cached version.
