How to Change Footer Credits on WordPress

By default, the footer file for a WordPress theme generally displays a link to the official WordPress website. Depending on the WordPress theme that you have installed, the footer may also contain a credit to the theme's creator. For example, the default "Twenty Eleven" theme included with WordPress displays the text "Proudly Powered by WordPress" in the footer. You are not required to display this link on your website. Use the WordPress theme editor to modify the footer file for your theme and remove the credit and link to WordPress.
