How to Use Street Maps 2010 With a DeLorme PN-40
The DeLorme PN-40 is a hand-held Global Positioning System (GPS) device. It gives you access to turn-by-turn directions, points of interests and maps. Install maps with the DeLorme Street Maps 2010 software. This allows you to create your own maps and customize them with details and specific locations. First, you need to install the software that came with your DeLorme device. This gives you access to Street Maps 2010.

Insert the disc into your computer's optical drive.

Click "Next" on the DeLorme interface after the computer loads the software.

Choose a destination on your computer to install the software. Click "Next" when complete.

Enter the product key that came with your software. This will be on the packaging.

Allow the DeLorme software to install. Reboot your computer for changes to take effect.

Launch the DeLorme software. Allow it to search for map updates for your device. Click on the update you want.

Press the "MENU" button on your DeLorme device. Click "Device Setup" and "Connect to Computer." Choose the "USB" setting.

Connect your DeLorme device to your computer with its USB cable. Press "ENTER" to install the map update to your device.
