How to Make Rain in InDesign
There are many different types of water graphics that can be created using Adobe's InDesign software. You can create text, spills, or the appearance of a rim of water in a glass. Among the water designs that can be created is rain. To create rain in InDesign, it is easier to draw the image manually rather than from the software's preloaded graphics.

Creating Watery Text

Type your text.

Fill the text color. The setting should be set at 50 percent black.

Apply Bevel and Emboss under "Effect." Inner bevel, set to "smooth" and "up" works well.

Select "Hard Light" under "Effects."
Creating Shapes or Raindrops

Create your shape. You can either choose a standard shape, manual draw your own with the pencil tool, or bring an image in from another software program.

Set your shape to be transparent

Select "Hard Light" under "Effects."
