How to Install a Baseboard Diffuser From Accord

Baseboard diffusers play an important role in forced-air HVAC systems by directing the flow of conditioned air from the duct work. You can install an Accord baseboard diffuser in your home using the correct tools and supplied hardware.

Things You'll Need

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Drill and drill bit set

Instructions

1. Clean up any debris surrounding the duct opening.

2. Hold the rear portion of the diffuser and grasp the small lever located near the top center grill area. Certain Accord diffusers may feature screws securing the face plate to the base; remove the screws securing the face plate to the base, using an appropriate size Phillips head screwdriver.

3. Pull the lever down to lower the face plate.

4. Center the base of the diffuser over the duct opening, against the baseboard or wall.

5. Secure the base of the diffuser to the wall, using the supplied screws and screwdriver. Consider drilling small pilot holes with a drill and appropriate size drill bit to aid the screw installation process, if necessary.

6. Replace the face plate to complete the installation process.
