How to Set up a Facebook Profile for Fans
Facebook allows you to create pages for a business, brand, public figure, cause or product. Pages are different from personal profiles -- content on a page can be viewed by anyone. Fans of your page don't need to send a friend request. Instead, other Facebook users can click the "Like" button to become a fan and view your status updates in their news feed. To create a page, you'll need to be an official representative of the company, group or individual.
