How Do I Program My LG Chocolate to Accept a SIM Card From a BlackBerry Pearl?

Like all global phones, the LG Chocolate BL40 uses a SIM card. The phone number and network information is stored on the card and not in the phone itself. To program the Chocolate to use the SIM card from your BlackBerry Pearl, you just need to swap the SIM card into the Chocolate and copy the stored contacts into the phone's memory.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn off the LG Chocolate.

    • 2

Slide the back of the phone toward the bottom edge to remove the battery cover.

    • 3

Lift the battery from the bottom edge. Set the battery and battery cover aside.

    • 4

Slide the SIM card from the BlackBerry Pearl into the SIM card slot. Make sure the beveled corner on the SIM is on the bottom right, with the gold contacts on the SIM facing into the phone.

    • 5

Reinstall the battery and battery cover, then turn the phone on.

    • 6

Scroll to the Communication tab and open "Contact."

    • 7

Select the Options icon and touch "Mark All" then tap "Copy to Handset."

Tips & Warnings

  • You can transfer contacts individually by selecting a contact from the contact and touching the "Options" icon. Tap "Copy to Handset."
