How to Speed Up iPhone Podcasts

You can download free podcasts to your iPhone.

People produce podcasts focusing on a variety of topics, including business, entertainment and opinion. You can download free podcasts to your iPhone over the Internet from Apple's iTunes Store. When you listen to a podcast on your iPhone, you might find the speaking too slow and want to speed it up. If the speaking style on a podcast is sluggish, you can double its speed by changing a setting on the iPhone.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" button.

2. Tap the "iPod" icon on the home screen to launch Apple's native app for playing podcasts.

3. Tap "Podcasts" at the bottom of the screen. If you do not see "Podcasts," tap "More" and then tap "Podcasts."

4. Tap the name of a podcast to start playing it.

5. Tap the "1X" icon in the upper part of the screen once to change the speed to "2X," indicating that the podcast is now set to play twice as fast. Tap "1X" once more to change the icon to "1/2X" for half-speed, and tap it again to return the icon to "1X" speed.
