How to Email Common Short Codes
When you hear about a Common Short Code (CSC), which is a number consisting of five or six digits to which you send a text message, you might not have access to text messaging but want to email the CSC as a reminder to send it later. For example, say you are watching a news broadcast about donating money to disaster victims and you don't have your cellphone, but you do have access to a computer with email. You can send an email message to remind yourself to send a text message to the CSC. You can also email the message to a friend to let her know how to donate via the CSC. You cannot email messages to CSCs as they are only used with text messaging.
