How to Do an Inverse Function on a TI-9

Graphing calculators can display several different functions as lines on their displays to let people see different solutions for said function. However, the Texas Instruments TI-9 goes one step further by being able to plot the inverse of a function. This lets you see the opposite version of the problem you might be working on to help you check your work for validity.

Instructions

      Enter the graph you want to draw the inverse of in the calculator.

      Press the "PRGM" button twice on your calculator.

    • 3

      Scroll to the "DrawInv" command and press "Enter."

    • 4

      Type in the name of the function you want to invert, as indicated by the calculator screen.

    • 5

      Press "Enter" to display the inverse function graph.
