1
Remove the anti-glare glass screen from the computer monitor and examine it closely. Anti-glare screens typically attach using either double-sided tape or hook-and-fastener strips attached to the plastic mounting brackets. Pull the mounting bracket off to remove the anti-glare filter.
-
2
Tighten up the screws that hold the mounting brackets to the screen. These brackets often become loose as the screen is moved around. Check the condition of the mounting brackets. If the brackets have small hairline cracks, you can seal those cracks with plastic sealant or clear packing tape.

3
Unscrew old mounting brackets and attach the new ones if they are severely cracked or otherwise worn. You can order replacement mounting brackets from office-supply retailers and the original manufacturer of the anti-glare screen. Pull on the mounting brackets to be sure they are tight.
-
4
Clean the entire glass surface of the anti-glare screen thoroughly, using a soft cloth and glass cleaner. Use cotton swabs to clean the corners of the screen and remove caked-on dirt and grime.
-
5
Position the anti-glare screen in front of the monitor and adjust it to the proper height before tightening the screws the whole way. Readjust the brackets as needed.
