How to Use a Boss V-Plow

In areas that get heavy snowfall in the winter, it can be very hard to get where you need to go if you do not have the proper equipment. The Boss V-Plow is a type of plow that you can install on the front of your truck to clear snow from your driveway or street. This model of plow features a control system in which you operate the movement of the plow from inside the cab of the truck.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the "On/Off" switch located at the top of the controller to the "On" position. The red indicator light will turn on to show you that the unit has been turned on. Make sure there are no objects or people in the path of the plow before you turn it on.

    • 2

Push the joystick upward to raise the plow blade and pull the joystick down to lower the plow. Move the joystick to the center position to hold the plow at its current position. To plow a straight line, lower the plow to the bottom position and drive forward.

    • 3

Push the joystick up and to the right diagonally to move the right wing of the plow outward. Push the stick down and to the right to move the right wing back inward. The operation of the left wing works in the same way as the right. Extend both wings of the plow to form a scoop that you can use to move piles of snow by moving the joystick up and down.

    • 4

Push the joystick straight to the left or the right to tilt the plow one direction or the other. Use this function when you have grabbed a scoop of snow and want to unload it in another location. Pulling the stick back to the center position will rotate the plow back to the center position.

    • 5

Fold the left and right wings of the plow back inward before parking your vehicle. When you are finished plowing, turn the "On/Off" switch to the "Off" position.
