How to Get Out of Book Layout in InDesign CS3
When you create a new document in Adobe InDesign CS3, it displays the pages within the document as groups of two-page spreads, similar to a book's. While this book layout is extremely useful when you need to see how the pages appear together, such as in a book or magazine layout, it is cumbersome if you are working on a document that prints as single pages, such as a report. Fortunately, InDesign provides an option to view each page by itself rather than as a book.

Tips & Warnings
Select "Facing Pages" again to return to the book layout. InDesign condenses all of the pages into two-page spreads.
When you create a new document, you can avoid the book layout by deselecting "Facing Pages" in the "New Document" dialog box.
