Bell ExpressVu is a Canadian satellite TV service. Subscribers receive programming through a satellite dish connected to a descrambling receiver in their homes. Hooking up additional receivers with a device known as a multi-switch lets you view programming on televisions in different rooms. Buy a multi-switch at an electronics store. Depending on your needs, multi-switches are available with jacks for hooking up 2 to 16 TV sets, which should be sufficient.
Things You'll Need
- Coaxial cables
Connect the opposite ends of the two cables attached to your Bell ExpressVu satellite dish to the two LNB inputs on the multi-switch.
Twist the connector on the end of a coaxial cable clockwise to each output jack on the multi-switch for every receiver you wish to connect.
Attach the other end of each cable to the "SAT IN" jack on the back of a receiver.
Connect another coaxial cable from the "Out To TV" jack on each receiver to the RF input on the back of each TV.
Turn on each television and press the "SAT" button on the TV remote control.
Follow the programming procedure for your particular receiver, which typically involves pressing the correct keys on the supplied remote control when prompted by the on-screen directions displayed from the receiver on your TV. You can now watch different satellite TV programs from the same dish.
