How to Hook Up Bell ExpressVu with Multiple Receivers

Save

Bell ExpressVu is a Canadian satellite TV service. Subscribers receive programming through a satellite dish connected to a descrambling receiver in their homes. Hooking up additional receivers with a device known as a multi-switch lets you view programming on televisions in different rooms. Buy a multi-switch at an electronics store. Depending on your needs, multi-switches are available with jacks for hooking up 2 to 16 TV sets, which should be sufficient.

Things You'll Need

  • Multi-switch
  • Coaxial cables
  • TVs
  • Connect the opposite ends of the two cables attached to your Bell ExpressVu satellite dish to the two LNB inputs on the multi-switch.

  • Twist the connector on the end of a coaxial cable clockwise to each output jack on the multi-switch for every receiver you wish to connect.

  • Attach the other end of each cable to the "SAT IN" jack on the back of a receiver.

  • Connect another coaxial cable from the "Out To TV" jack on each receiver to the RF input on the back of each TV.

  • Turn on each television and press the "SAT" button on the TV remote control.

  • Follow the programming procedure for your particular receiver, which typically involves pressing the correct keys on the supplied remote control when prompted by the on-screen directions displayed from the receiver on your TV. You can now watch different satellite TV programs from the same dish.
