How to Remove a Sponsored Feed From Facebook

Advertisers use sponsored feeds on Facebook to market directly to consumers. Facebook allows these advertisers to target specific people by age, location, or even interests. When you log on to Facebook and go to your profile, you can see various sponsored feeds on the right-hand side. While you can't permanently get rid of all of the sponsored feeds (Facebook supports itself partially by advertising), you can eliminate particular sponsored feeds so they don't appear on your Facebook profile anymore.

  • Start your Internet browser and go to

  • Type in your email address, then your password, then click "Log In."

  • Click "Profile."

  • Move your cursor over top of the sponsored feed on the right hand side. When you move your cursor to the top right corner, you'll notice a small "X." Click on it.

  • Select a reason from the list Facebook gives you. If there's nothing wrong with the ad other than that it annoys you, select "Uninteresting." The sponsored feed is removed from your profile.
