How to Uninstall LabView

Save

LabView uses the Windows installer for installation and removal. In some cases, you may not have access to the Windows utility. If this occurs, you can access the National Instruments' uninstaller to remove LabView. This uninstaller will delete any, or all, of the National Instruments programs on your computer. Either method requires only a few minutes.

Windows Uninstaller

  • Close all instances of LabView.

  • Click the "Start" button on the taskbar. Click "Control Panel." Select the "Uninstall a Program" link located under "Programs."

  • Select "National Instruments Software" from the list and click the "Uninstall/Change" button. The National Instruments configuration utility will open.

  • Click the "Products" tab. Select "NI LabVIEW" from the list of products.

  • Click the "Remove" button. The uninstall wizard will open and remove LabView from your computer.

National Instruments' Uninstaller

  • Locate the "NIUninstaller" directory on your computer. The default is "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller." This is the directory where it will be installed unless you or the administrator placed it somewhere else.

  • Double-click the "uninst.exe" file to start the National Instruments configuration utility.

  • Click the "Products" tab. Select "NI LabView" from the list of products.

  • Click the "Remove" button. The uninstall wizard will open and remove LabView from your computer.
