How to Become a Member of a Caucus
A caucus is a group of people who join together in support of a political candidate, political party or political movement. The specific goals of a caucus vary based on the nature of the group. While the caucus of a political candidate may seek to get its candidate reelected, the caucus of a political movement may seek to bring attention to its cause. The same varied rules will apply to joining a caucus. However, while every caucus will have its own application process, some basic membership requirements are fairly standard.

Research the caucus you are interested in joining. Speak with a representative from the caucus concerning its mission, membership commitments and annual dues. Ask if you can attend a few meetings to get a general idea of caucus membership.
