      Strip about 2 inches from the outer jacket of the cable you want to punch down.

      Separate the conductor pair. Do not untwist them more than 1/2 inch. This will ensure best performance.

      Place each pair in the correct slot. Punch down each pair using the punch-down tool. Place the blade of the punch-down tool on the selected terminal, and press firmly downward until the wire is fully inserted into the terminal.

      Trim excess wire. Place strain relief caps over the connection.
